THINGS got a bit crazy at Pewsey Primary School as more than 100 locals took part in a mini golf fundraiser on Saturday.

From 12-3pm, golfers both young and old headed to the school for the PTA team's fundraiser, which ended up raising £129 for the school.

Those who took part enjoyed nine holes on the school's artificial turf playing surface courtesy of Crazygolf4u, who provided the portable crazy golf course, one of which had a Stonehenge theme.

"It was just a really enjoyable event for all the family and was a nice change from some of the other events that we do over the year," said PTA chairman Nikki Jeffery.

"I contacted the company, who are based in Kent, a while back and they were delighted to help out. They set it all up and all we had to do was put on the barbecue which went down really well.

"The weather was good, the atmosphere was great and we raised a good amount for the school which should go to buying some books for the pupils and teachers. We will definitely run this event again next year. It is nice to do something a bit different."

This was one of many fundraising events the school's PTA team organise across the year, as next month a jumble sale will take place and then the summer fair too.

"We plan on mixing it up at the summer fair as we will have donkeys there this time round which will be great. It is all about having a great day and raising funds for the school," she added.
