BOOKWORMS are being encouraged to get their hands on a copy of Rachel Joyce’s novel The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry for this year’s Big Town Read.

Marlborough LitFest has chosen Ms Joyce’s from this year’s World Book Night list to be the LitFest’s Big Town Read for 2015.

The committee is encouraging people to read the so they can get involved in a question and answer session with the author on Saturday, October 3 at 6pm.

World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading and books run by The Reading Agency - the charity with a mission to give everyone an equal chance to become a reader. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry has been an international bestseller and was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Book Prize and longlisted for the Man Booker Prize as well as being translated into 34 languages.

Authors already confirmed a for the 2015 Marlborough LitFest, which takes place between October 2-4, include Helen Dunmore, Alison Weir, as well as the broadcaster and journalist, Bidisha.
