A patient in Hullavington had to wait to be taken to hospital after a badly-parked car blocked in an ambulance on Saturday night.
Staff from Buckley Barracks knocked on doors around the military accommodation in Wellington Place to try to locate the driver.
Police received a call at 9.45pm to say a car was in the way of an ambulance attending to a patient with chest pains.
Police were stood down 15 minutes later after the driver returned and moved the car, allowing the ambulance to move.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We would urge members of the public to take care when parking to ensure that emergency services vehicles can access and depart the scenes of incidents.
“Many conditions will require urgent medical attention at a treatment centre so any delay due to careless parking is unwelcome.”
