A 66-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering serious injuries after a van and car collided on the A361 yesterday at the junction with Blackland.
Police were called after the incident at 4.25pm and the road between the junction and Beckhampton Roundabout was closed for five hours.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said a Ford Transit heading from Devizes to Beckhampton was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa at the junction for Blackland, which leads to the A4 for Calne.
The Corsa driver, a man aged 66 from Devizes, was taken to hospital suffering serious injuries.
Police said the van driver, a 26-year-old man from Swindon, suffered minor injuries.
