The Trust for Devizes is worried what will happen when Tesco in Maryport Street closes this weekend
THE Trust for Devizes has expressed worries about the future of the Tesco store after it closes on April 4.
Members at who met for the group’s annual meeting feared that the premises could remain empty for some time. Others felt there wouldn't be anywhere to buy reasonably priced children’s and men’s clothes.
The 61staff members were told by management in January that the store would close on April 4.
Next week the Gazette is to carry a nostalgia article on the store.
