THE Co-Op store in Lyneham has re-opened after a £330,000 transformation.

The Church End store now has an enhanced in-store bakery, and a focus on fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas and essentials.

The transformation also includes new refrigeration to enhance and extend its meat, dairy and chilled produce.

The store is also set to take on a new role, known as a Community Pioneer, where a member of the food store team will work to foster involvement in community activities.

David Ralph, manager of the store, said: “We are thrilled to have made such a significant investment in Lyneham, and we are delighted to have a fantastic new food store with which to serve the community, it is an exciting time for the whole team.

“The Co-operative is a community retailer, and we are committed to playing an active role in local life, embracing the area’s community spirit.”
