MY mum is in residential care in Chippenham. On July 3 they had a lady singer, amongst some of the songs were Vera Lynn songs.
As it was such a lovely evening, which you don’t get many of in this country, the carers decided it would be nice to have it in the garden, and as it would only be for about one hour maximum, it wouldn’t be too much.
Within 20 minutes they had three complaints about the noise.
I despair of my fellow human beings, with all the noise around us (children screaming for no reason in public places, cars with their windows open spilling out music, rock festivals etc).
How can they be so intolerant as to object to old people having a limited time of enjoyment?
It was 6pm in the evening, not midnight.
