CLAIRE Perry MP is correct when in her column, on July 7, she writes: “You’re all probably sick and tired of hearing about the national deficit”. That’s not the only thing that millions of us are sick and tired of hearing about.
We are sick and tired of hearing the Tories give platitudes to those working in the emergency services then voting against the lifting of the public sector pay cap.
We are sick and tired of the Tories’ continuing austerity agenda which has created anger, devastation and misery across the whole of the UK.
We are sick and tired of the Tories telling us that Britain, the sixth richest country in the world, has no money to fund the public services adequately but are quite content to see billions of unpaid taxes leave these shores each year.
We are angry that Theresa May has given the DUP £1billion to support and prop up her government.
Like the 57 per cent who voted against the Tories in the recent election we are sick and tired of a government that looks after the rich and powerful while at the same time our public services are being destroyed by an idealogical policy – of austerity.
