WE thought it would be of interest to your readers to inform them of the new police information point at the Springfield Community Centre in Corsham. The centre is run by volunteers and normal office hours are between 10am and 1pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; if the office is closed on these days it is because we do not have enough volunteers to cover.
It is important to note that this is an information point and not an enquiry office but we can provide information and signposting regarding Wiltshire Police services, facilitate contact with local police officers and the local NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team), record any information and feedback from the community and pass this on to the local NPT, record any items of lost and found property and issue reference numbers, access to leaflets on crime prevention.
A phone is situated outside to report crime. 101 remains the number to call when you need to contact the police when it is less urgent than 999.
