Important bus route
THE number 87 bus, from Devizes to Westbury and Trowbridge deserves special consideration.
It goes into Westbury Station from Devizes with a journey time of 36 minutes. It is a very important 'hub' with services to the south of England including Exeter, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Bournemouth and Brighton.
I am alarmed that the consultation calls this service 'rural' rather than 'strategic', making the threat greater! Devizes may never get a rail link. The last thing we need is to lose a good rail link only 36 minutes away.
