Marlborough will soon be greeting visitors from all over the world to its Jazz Festival and Summer School.
Sadly, the last half mile of the A4 as it enters Marlborough from the west still greets our guests with the potholes and broken Tarmac joints which we have been enduring for as long as most of us can remember.
However, as soon as the eastbound A4 enters West Berkshire, the road has been resurfaced to produce a very pleasant drive into Hungerford and beyond.
Clearly, our council pothole people need to take lessons from their Berkshire counterparts.
