Further to your article regarding the failed appeal of Jim Ward’s killer Michael Chudley against his conviction in last week’s edition, I would like to correct the wrong impression given by Roger Chadwick in his comments that MGW Law had closed.
Jim’s wife and partner in the business, Nicola Morris, did not shut the business, leaving staff having “to find new jobs”. MGW Law merged with Wansbroughs Solicitors and all of the people at MGW Law were employed following the merger.
Nicola, even at a time of such great personal tragedy, worked hard to ensure the people her husband had brought together did not lose their jobs following the shooting.
Wansbroughs worked hard with Nicola to ensure that Nicola and all of the employees were welcomed into the merged business.
