RUGBY’S greatest prize is set to make a special appearance in Wiltshire this summer.

The Webb Ellis Cup is due to visit three venues across Dorset and Wiltshire as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour.

Launching on June 10, 100 days before the opening match of the Rugby World Cup, the famous trophy will travel through Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and England before arriving at Twickenham Stadium on September 18 ahead of the opening ceremony.

And on day 32 of the tour, on July 12, the famous pot will be at Daunstey’s School, in West Lavington, after travelling north from Weymouth and Portland RFC.

The Webb Ellis Cup will be appearing at the Dorset & Wilts Clubs Conference, an annual event held to brings clubs and their volunteers together to discuss and promote the best practice in the game.
