MARLEY Joffe held on to claim the Castle Combe Junior Karting Championship despite a poor performance in the final round.
Going into the weekend four drivers were still in contention for the overall title.
Wick's Joffe headed into the final round leading the championship and, despite his bad day, his consistency throughout the year was enough to secure the championship.
Reigning champion Ben Chick came into the final round in fourth place and needed a perfect round to take the championship. He wasn’t able to do so, but did move him into second.
Jacques Flanders was second coming into the final round, but unfortunately he was unable to compete due to breaking his collarbone, but took 3rd place in the Championship on count back for winning more Grand Finals than his rivals.
