CHIPPENHAM signed off the first half of the season with a thumping win to return to the top of the West Clubs League East Division They took an early lead through Sabina Falcone and continued to keep Bristolians pinned in their own half. Their patience was rewarded with a second goal from Non Roberts and runs from the wing-backs Tracey Davies and Julie Lodge created space for Holly Honywill and Sian Perham to attack the Bristolians D.
Sharon Thomas sent the goalkeeper the wrong way with a fine chip to make it 3-0 and Liz Copeland’s timely pass found Honywill who slotted home the fourth.
With defenders Jane Smedley, Clare Widger and goalkeeper Sian Rhys Price shoring things up at the back, all bar one of the Bristolians attacks were kept out.
But in the final 10 minutes, Roberts pounced on a rebound from a short-corner strike to increase the lead and completed her hat-trick before the end.
