BASSETT signed off 2011 by moving into fourth place in the Davis Wood League Avon Division The home side made a fine start, Kyle Barnes opening the scoring from Mark Turner’s pass just three minutes in.

Bassett started their last league game of 2011 well, controlling play and producing some good, early pressure.

On 27 minutes, Matt Daniell’s through ball found Lawrence Winter, who slotted home the second.

It was 3-0 before half time as Jake Nunns passed to Matt Jakubiec, who scored from the top of the D.

The goalkeeping of Paul Warren kep out Bath early in the second half before the visitors eventually pulled a goal back.

However, soon after the pushback, Barnes went around the keeper to score Bassett’s fourth before Bath scored their second.
