WITH only three games left and their Premier Division Three promotion hopes still alive, Marlborough started sluggishly and the early game saw both sides struggling to maintain possession and impose themselves.

A moment of magic from Ed Gosling on the right hand side and a diving finish from Matt Osbourne gave Marlborough the lead.

This livened the game up and Marlborough again were the ones to capitalise when Ed Mason made it 2-0 before Cheltenham pulled back a goal just before the break.

Marlborough showed their quality in the second half with precise passing combined with hard work and soon were further in front when Ed Gosling finished delicately after some intricate passing within the D. Marlborough looked home and dry after Mason scored his second after another dazzling run from man of the match Gosling.

Cheltenham picked up a consolation goal with a few minutes to go.
