TWELVE year old Dom Walter lifted the South West Counties U14 title on a tough day of scoring at Kingsdown Golf Club near Box.
Cumberwell Park's four handicapper Walter, who won the prestigious US Kids Golf European Championship in Scotland, last year, carded a round of 78 to lift the prize, having finished runner up in the recent Wiltshire Boys Championship.
Strong wind and rain made conditions difficult at Kingsdown, but Wiltshire finished second behind Gloucestershire, with the best seven scores used to decide the team prize.
One handicap Harrison Ottley-Wood (Gloucestershire) won the U16 title.
Wiltshire's men embark on South West Week at the Bristol & Clifton Golf Club next week.
Competition gets under way on Monday, with the 36-hole South West Championship, the qualifier for the English County Finals later this year, taking place on Tuesday.
