PHIL Hampson was both hero and villain for Three Daggers as they denied Stockton & Codford a share of top spot in the Division One table with a 2-0 win.
Hampson scored in each half to complete the win, but he was also sent off in a game that also saw Stockton’s Brendan Hind miss a penalty.
Melksham Town A still have a good chance of claiming back-to-back titles and overcame a potential banana skin when they beat a gutsy Calne Eagles 3-1 side at the weekend.
Luke Turvey (Melksham) and Will Gale (Calne) were on target in the first half before Jack Woolsgroove’s sublime 25-yard strike saw Melksham take a 2-1 lead and a fantastic half-volley from Turvey sealed a 3-1 win.
Hilperton United came out on top in a 10-goal thriller at home to Westbury United Development, who trailed 4-3 at the break before suffering a 7-3 defeat.
Chris Foley and Steve Ball gave Hilperton a 2-0 advantage, Chris Steeple got Westbury back in the contest only for Graham Griffiths to regain the hosts their two-goal cushion.
Marc Lanfear’s brace got Westbury back on level terms before Alfie Francis fire Hilperton into a half-time lead.
A second from Steve Ball made it 5-4 before Ryan Underwood wrapped up victory for Hilperton with a double.
Semington Magpies fell behind away to Trowbridge Town Reserves but the villagers hit back to claim a thumping 9-1 success against a deplted Town side.
Ashley Poms netted an excellent opener for the Bees which was cancelled out by Bobby Mitchell’s 20-yard drive.
Kelvin Lockwood gave Magpies a 2-1 interval lead, before the floodgates opened in the second half with the home team down to 10 men.
Rich Allum headed home a third for Magpies before he made it 4-1.
Ant Lamb added number five, Ben Jenkins found the top corner for 6-1 and two more goals from Lamb completed his hat-trick before Jake Abbott finished off.
