MELKSHAM Town lifted the Toolstation League's Les Phillips Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Cribbs at Street FC yesterday.
Darren Perrin's men followed up Premier Division title and Wiltshire Senior Cup wins in the previous two seasons by adding another trophy to their cabinet at the Tannery Ground.
The final ended goalless after normal and extra time, both sides having a man sent off as Steve Hulbert saw red for the Wiltshire men, while striker Gary Higdon missed a spot-kick.
That sent the contest to a deciding shootout where Melksham Town goalkeeper Rob Brown proved the hero, pulling off a save from Cribbs' second penalty.
That allowed Lee Davidson to step up and clinch a 5-4 success for Perrin's men, who also finished third in the Premier Division and are awaiting news on whether they will be promoted to the Southern League next season after their Oakfields stadium passed the necessary inspection.
