PEWSEY Vale’s misery continued on Tuesday night as they conceded a whopping nine goals for the second time in the space of 10 days.
Adi Holcombe’s strugglers, who were thumped 9-0 at Tadley Calleva on April 9, were embarrassed on the road at 15th-placed Totton & Eling as they were thrashed 9-1 in Hampshire.
The hosts’ Macaully Smith filled his boots with four goals, Joe Rawkins and Adam Lowther both notched twice, and Jake Rawkins also got himself on the scoresheet to rub salt in the wounds.
Pewsey, whose run of successive losses now stands at eight matches, went down 3-0 at New Milton Town on Saturday.
Louie La Touche bundled over a home player to allow Shane Sheridan to notch from the penalty spot and when the Vale keeper saved from Sheridan in the second half, he was powerless to prevent Sam Cummings from tucking away the rebound.
With 10 minutes to go, substitute Dan Hicks rounded things off as he scored New Milton’s third.
