CALNE Town secured one of their finest results of the current campaign with victory at title-chasers Oldland Abbotonians last Saturday.

The Lilywhites rode their luck as their South Gloucestershire hosts continuously rapped at the door but Neurin Jones’ side came away with full of festive cheer after sealing an impressive 3-1 victory.

Just five minutes in, Reece Allison fired home but the visitors were forced to soak up an unrelenting tide of pressure after that.

However, Mark Dolman slotted into the net to put Calne 2-0 up in the second period before Stuart Windsor's strike was deflected in by team-mate Rob Pocock.

Oldland's Josh Williams snaffled a goal back at the death following a scramble in the Lilywhites area.

Elsewhere in the Toolstation League First Division, Devizes Town's misery continued as they were wrecked by Wellington last weekend.

Darran Walters’ men were left licking their wounds as they were hammered in Somerset, slipping to their fifth straight defeat and second 7-0 shellacking in the space of three weeks.

Ian Bellinger and Jack Bryant both helped themselves to braces as Wellington ran riot, with Conor Bryant, Luke Redrup and substitute Jonny Rawlings all also getting in on the act.

Devizes host Corsham on Boxing Day (kick-off 2pm).
