PEWSEY Vale crashed back to earth after being hit for six at Ringwood Town.

Adi Holcombe’s men picked up a first point of the season the previous weekend but they could not sustain that form as they were beaten 6-2 in this first division clash.

Vale were 3-0 in arrears inside 20 minutes but steadied the ship before the break and some decent play resulted in Adam Field being brought down in the box and Ryan Banks reducing the deficit from the spot.

The second half began promisingly for the visitors, as they got in a number of good positions but were unable to convert.

Ringwood’s trademark on the day was breaking sharply and this resulted in them getting a fourth goal.

Vale hit back again through Dan Reynolds but Ringwood raced clear again before the whistle.
