MARLBOROUGH Town player-manager Rob Harland is enjoying his side’s recent revival.

After securing their first victory the league a fortnight night ago, the Elcot Lane side made it it back-to-back wins on Saturday with a 3-0 success over Vale of Pewsey.

Harland opened the scoring for his team midway through the first half when Devon Bryan beat three players before picking out Nathan Goode.

His cross found Oliver Sly but his effort was parried into the path of Harland to tap home.

Five minutes later, Harland fired a free-kick into the box that was headed back across the face of the goal by Chris Deane for Luke Little to double the advantage.

And before the end of the first period, Bryan made it 3-0 when he ran on to a lovely through ball from Simon Brooks.

His first shot ricocheted off the crossbar before he volleyed home the rebound.

“Everything is starting to click now,” Harland said. “There is a great vibe around the place and the people who were there came up afterwards and said how impressed they were with how we played.

“That performance was our best in a long time and we are now playing with confidence.

“It has a little while to get going but we haven’t changed the way we have played - we are just taking our chances now.

“We have got Andover (New Street Swifts) at the weekend and hopefully we can make it three in a row.

Elsewhere in the league, Devizes Town Reserves edged out Corsham Town Reserves in a five-goal thriller while Wilts Calne Town claimed their first win over the season when defeating Sarum Youth 5-2.
