STRIKER Steve Robertson salvaged a point for Wootton Bassett Town last night as they drew 1-1 with Binfield.
Following a goalless first half at the Corinium Stadium in this Hellenic League Premier Division match, Binfield took the lead.
But Bassett battled back and managed to grab the all-important equaliser on 59 minutes.
A lovely threaded through ball from skipper Steve Yeardley played in new hitman Robertson, who joined the club from league rivals Shrivenham, and he made no mistake in drilling the ball home for a share of the spoils.
“After they scored we had a nervy 10 minutes where we didn’t settle,” Braithwaite said.
“But we got back into the game with a lovely goal and I was really pleased with the character the boys showed to come from behind tonight.”
