DEVIZES rider Katinka Brogaard helped the Great Briain team to victory in the Junior Nations Cup competition in Opglabbeek, Belgium at the weekend.

A jump-off dictated the final placings, with 17-year-old Brogaard doing her part as GB saw off the challenge of Spain to finish on the top step of the podium.

Brogaard and her mount Belfast, a 10 year-old dark bay gelding owned by Annabelle Bowman-Shaw, was the third member of the GB team to come forward in the decisive round.

The Wiltshire teenager had earlier recorded a 16-penalty finish in the first round and 22 penalties in the second to become the drop score in each round, however, a marked improvement in the jump-off saw the duo pick up just five penalties, a ride that ensured Britain come home with the gold medal.
