THE way England are playing one-day cricket at the moment is probably the best in the world.

It was unbelievable to witness that innings on Tuesday and it is amazing to be part of that – especially to break a world record score of 444-3 against Pakistan.

England have struggled for a few years in one day cricket and to see the way that the way the lads are playing now is unbelievable it is amazing and it is exciting to be involved.

I think that we are now able to go out and pick the best one-day players that are out there.

We have the likes of Alex Hales, Jos Buttler and Jason Roy – they are some exceptional players.

They have all been given a chance in the team and they are producing now.

But on a personal level that means it is harder for me to break into the team.

There is nothing that you can about it though. All you can do is keep training hard and hope that you will get your chance.

It has been good being involved with the England set-up this summer. The lads have trained well it is an easy group to be a part of and it is good fun.

Back at Hampshire they are playing Yorkshire at the moment. It is a big game that we need to win, it is not going to be easy. We are in a relegation battle and they are going for the title again.

The coaches got announced for the North-South match this week with England assistant coach Paul Farbrace taking charge of the South team that I will be part of.
