MINETY cricketer Fran Wilson has earned a central contract with the England & Wales Cricket Board for the next two years.

The 24 year old Somerset player is the one addition to the list of players who formed the first group of England women’s players to win central contracts in 2014.

Nineteen England women’s players have been awarded central contracts for 2016-2017

The ECB’s Director of England Women’s Cricket, Clare Connor, said: “We congratulate Fran Wilson on being awarded a central contract for the first time.

"She scored significant runs throughout the summer and has been a dedicated member of the England Women's Performance squad during the past 18 months. She thoroughly deserves to be awarded a central contract.

England women will next be in action in February when they will travel to South Africa to play a three-match One-Day International series and three-match Twenty20 International series.
