CARETAKER manager Steve Winter has boosted his Bluebirds squad with the recruitment of two new players on the eve of his side's FA Cup first qualifying round tie at Yate Town tomorrow.

Winger Joe Lennox and central defender Ben Murray have linked up with the Hardenhuish Park side, who this week lost utility man Toby Osman to Bridgwater Town.

Bristol-born Lennox, 21, who was a youth player with Bristol City, made 23 league and cup appearances for Plymouth Argyle in the 2012-13 campaign, scoring once.

Released in January he rejoined Bath City, where he had spent an earlier loan period in 2011, signing non-contract terms and playing six times, again scoring once.

Experienced defender Murray came through the youth ranks at Clevedon, for whom he made a senior debut in 2001. He went on to join Toolstation League Bristol Manor Farm, one of Winter's former clubs, whom he captained before returning to Clevedon this summer.

Winter also secured the services of full-back Stuart Tovey, who made his debut in last weekend's 2-1 Calor League Southern Premier Division defeat at Cambridge City.
