IT WAS fantastic to get a win like that against St Albans on Saturday. The players produced an excellent performance for the supporters and the directors.

We know that we’ve stalled and there’s been a lot of mediocrity around for too long, so it was great to see a win like that.

Goals change games and we scored at the right times and had that bit of luck that you need to get results.

I think that there’s a determination from the players now to end the season the right way with another good performance and a win against Arlesey.

They want to put on a good display for the home fans.

We went to Arlesey earlier in the season and it was a very tough place to go.

A bit of inconsistency has crept in and they’ve found themselves dragged down to the bottom of the table so it’s a game they’ll be doing everything to win.

They’ve got Chris Dillon playing up front for them, who’s been a thorn in our side before when he scored against us for Nuneaton for the play-off final.

Greg Tindle and Toby Osman will both be missing the game with injuries.

Things are changing at the club and I think it’s going to be a big shock for Nathan (Rudge) because he’s going to go from being mates with the players to having to be the voice of authority.

Gary Kemp is leaving at the end of the season because of work and family commitments and Nath was going to come in as my assistant anyway.

But I don’t think he would have agreed to take over if I wasn’t going to be there to help him.

I think he’ll be up to the task.
