We’re getting down to the final few games of the season now and, for us, it’s about finishing it as strongly as possible.

A lot of people comment on what a good side we are and we proved that in the early part of the season.

Now it’s a case of getting back to that.

I’d hope we can have a strong finish to the campaign – and perhaps get a bit of the rub of the green go our way.

I’ve few complaints with what the boys did against Oxford City last weekend.

We were unlucky again in front of goal with a chance in the first half, a decent penalty shout and two efforts that hit the post.

That’s just the way it’s going at this moment in time.

We could not really have asked for two tougher fixtures this weekend.

Totton, on Saturday, still have aspirations of promotion from this league, on Saturday.

And Swindon Supermarine, who we face on Monday, are scrapping to avoid relegation.

Matt Robinson and Gary Horgan are doing a fantastic job there and they’ve given themselves a chance of beating the drop.

I’m in touch with Matt and Gary on a regular basis and they are probably one of the form teams in the league in the last eight or so games.

If they could get away from the relegation zone it would be a superb achievement.

As for ourselves, we’ll be struggling in terms of player availability again.

Iain Harvey and James Guthrie are both suspended and all the injuries and bans we have had have put a major strain on the squad.

That’s as good as it gets for us at the moment – it hasn’t been easy in the last two or three matches.

Youngsters such as Charlie Austin and Ben Wickens have done well for us and I’ll have no qualms about pitching them into the fray if needed.
