Andy Sandell picked up a little virus and missed out for us last weekend, but hopefully he will have trained well during the week and then we can have a look at him for Saturday’s match at Arlesey.

If we can utilise the qualities and experience that Andy has got during tight games, he could prove the difference.

As it happened, the lads showed those qualities and came through against Redditch last Saturday The second half of that game shows that our players listen to what we say to them and respond in the right way and that’s a credit to them.

They responded to what I asked of them at half time and put in a great performance in the second half, getting the win that sets us up for the next game (at Arlesey) James Guthrie had a big second half for us and Guths has been one of our most consistent performers this season.

He’s shown some quality at vital times to give us that little bit of an edge.

He did that (against Redditch) with a fantastic cross for the first goal which set us on the road and got brought down for the foul which led to the second goal.

I'm pleased for him because he has stepped up a couple of levels, worked on his game and he’s improving all the time.

If we can do well at Arlesey, get something and then go on to the home game against St Albans next Tuesday and get a result, we will be in good shape.

Only then can we start to address the Eastleigh game in the Trophy.

I just want to lads to start putting consistent performances in, both home and away, and hopefully get that run that we want between now and Christmas.

Dave Gilroy is still struggling with his knee and is probably still a couple of weeks away.

We’re still very limited in terms of numbers – we only had three subs against Redditch – but we just need to keep at it.
