I asked the players at half-time in Tuesday’s game with Poole, ‘what have we really got?’ and I said to them that the game was far from over.

You saw every man, to the letter, absolutely working his socks off and that just epitomises the spirit that I’ve got in my dressing room.

Now I just want them to take it forward into the league games now.

With Greg Tindle, I cannot believe what he did - he could see that I’ve got a limited bench and doing something like that has dropped all of his team-mates in the lurch.

I’m disappointed in the lad but I know that he’s a whole-hearted player and he will be feeling remorseful.

Nathan Rudge has only had a coming together with their lad but he’s made a meal of it and gone down to get Rudge sent off and it’s worked.

Having lads sent off and suspended costs you but I really want to talk about the lads that were on the pitch and the supporters, who were fantastic as well - they kept willing the lads on.

I’ve never been sent to the stands before but it’s one of those things.

It was similar to the Greg Tindle situation - Ross Stearn won the ball and their lad’s kicked him so I’m defending my player.

I’ve tried to get inbetween, their lad’s pushing me and I’ve grabbed him, and from there, the melee ensues, but there were no punches thrown or anything like that.

It can’t be after the Lord Mayor’s show on Saturday - we want to make sure that we go to Hitchin and get a result.

We’ll have to assess Dave Gilroy and Jack Pitcher and Aaron Wilson in unavailable because of work commitments at the moment but hopefully Mani Randhawa will be fit soon and Shaun Lamb will be fit too in a couple of weeks.

Steve Casey will be back from suspension this weekend but Toby Osman still has three more games left.
