AGAINST Leamington we started slowly and it wasn’t until the second half that we really got going.

I was disappointed with the way that we started against Cirencester last Saturday and again on Tuesday so that’s something we need to address this weekend at Barwell.

We fought back in the second half but we should never have been in that position and you’ve got to be at it from the start – we played like the away side.

What disappoints me most is that we never really showed any anger or passion from the first whistle.

Perhaps because we’ve been on a little bit of a run, we expected things to happen but like I say to players, the hardest thing not to do when you’re on a run is forgetting what got you there.

We know that on our day we’re good enough to beat any side but when you allow sides to come to you and start better, they grow in confidence.

Speaking to the Leamington manager before the game, they were dreading coming to us.

The boys have been fantastic in the last few weeks so you can’t really beat them up too much about Tuesday’s performance, but we can’t keep giving ourselves mountains to climb.

I’ve seen the referee’s report from the match at Cirencester now and it’s a joke to be honest.

Steve Casey was sent off and the report says that he swung an elbow but the lad didn’t even appeal for it.

There’s no video evidence so there isn’t much that we can do.
