WE’VE had an indifferent start to the season – we know that – but I think that now we’ve started to get a few players back, things are starting to settle down for us.

I’m really happy with the players I’ve got and how the young ones are taking to this level.

Mani (Randhawa) has come in and done really well, James Guthrie has been a revelation since pre-season, Ross Stearn is really starting to find some form and Toby Osman just keeps getting better and better.

I’ve got a good group of players and hopefully now we can get some continuity in the side because that’s something I believe in.

A lot of managers look to chop and change a lot but we like to keep working with the same group and helping those players to improve.

We’ll be playing at Cirencester this weekend and we’ll have to be at it to come back from there with something.

The weather conditions should be a lot more settled than when we went there last year but it’s always a difficult place to go – they’ve picked up recently and got a great result against Brackley.

I know the people there quite well and they do the right things but we look forward to every match because that’s what football’s all about.

Then we play Leamington next week and that’s going to be another tough game.

They’re a good side with a great ground and good support, and there’s pressure on them to succeed because they’ve got aspirations of doing well this year.

We had two draws with them last year so hopefully we can do a little better and shade it this time round.

We played well against Hemel Hempstead but what we want to do it try and keep that kind of form going for 10 or 15 games because that will then stand us in really good stead.

We’ve got good cover at the moment but Lewis Powell has had a scan on his knee and that looks like a cartilage problem.

Iain Harvey’s still out with his hamstring but Shaun Lamb’s back running now.
