CHIPPENHAM Town romped to victory in their latest pre-season friendly as they retained the Fred Rutty Cup.
The Bluebirds made the perfect start to the match as Dave Gilroy fired in the opener just four minutes into the contest against their Toolstation League First Division opponents.
A second goal followed after a quarter of an hour as former Calne man Dan King floated over a free-kick that was headed in to his own net by the unfortunate Jake Jeffries, the home skipper.
With the visitors totally dominant, a third goal arrived 10 minutes before half time as Alan Griffin finished well.
It was a similar story after the break as the Lilywhites struggled to make any impact.
New signing Ross Stearn made it 4-0 20 minutes from time and 10 minutes later the scoring was complete when James Guthrie ghosted through and fired past home keeper Steve Allison.
