Adie Mings thinks that his side didn’t deserve to come away with nothing from Saturday’s trip to Stourbridge.

After a largely even encounter, the hosts scored in the 89th minute to effectively end the Bluebirds’ slim hopes of making the play-offs but only after Mings’ men had created a succession of goalscoring chances.

“It’s the story of our season –sometimes we create good chances but of lack of quality in and around the final third has cost us again, “ said the Chippenham manager.

“Then again, you can’t legislate for the poor mistake we’ve made in the middle of the field and that’s what led to their goal, in a game that we’re pushing forward to try and win.

“We were well on top and always well in control – they’ve only had two clear cut chances in the game.

“We tried to turn the screw in the second-half and a few chances have fallen to a few people but Griff (Alan Griffin) was unlucky with a header at the back stick and Luke’s gone through on the angle but hit it straight at the keeper.

“I’m bitterly disappointed and disappointed for my players because they didn’t deserve that.”

Striker Toby Osman made his Chippenham debut as a second-half substitute but defender Nathan Rudge missed the clash through suspension.
