ASSISTANT boss James Dore reckons Devizes got a taste of their own medicine as struggling Roman Glass grabbed victory at Nursteed Road on Saturday.
Ray King gave the home side the lead, but the Bristol visitors turned it around in the second half to dent Town’s hopes of a top-three finish.
Dore admitted: “We said to the lads afterwards that if you looked at Roman Glass, that was us a few weeks ago.
“They worked really hard and the points were as important to them as they were to us.
“From our point of view, we were disappointed. We were a little bit lethargic and it may be that a few defeats recently have knocked a bit of stuffing out of the squad.
“We’ve had some tough games against some of the top sides and we’ve got more to come and our results in the last few weeks are always going to be judged against our great run earlier in the season.’’
Town take on in-form Cadbury Heath, who went second in midweek, on Saturday, Dore adding: “They are themselves on a great run, but we have a tendency to raise it against the bigger teams.’’
