I’VE been thinking about the Olympics for such a long time and it probably started back when I was 18.

I started training for Beijing and when I realised that I was probably a bit young for those ones, I started thinking about 2012.

I remember that I watched every match in 2008 and there were some great ones there.

Now, I think that the London Games seem a long time away and and not that far away at the same time.

Things are really gathering pace in terms of tournaments and more intensive training camps but selection for it will go pretty much right up until the games – I think the final British team will be picked next March.

You’ve got to try your best not to panic and try to get some good results between now and then.

I’ve slipped a little bit in the world rankings because I haven’t competed in a few months and I’m down to somewhere in the 50s, but it’s so tight that just one good result can get you back up there.

I still want to try and get to the top of my weight category in this country too.

Euan Burton is still top and he’s also up in the top 10 in the world, so I really want to catch him.

The European Championships are next month and it’s one of the biggest tournaments around.

It’s definitely going to be tough out there but a lot of the people there will be the kind of people that you’d expect to meet in the Olympics, so it’ll be good in that way.

I think that a top-five finish there would be a good achievement.

I have a competition in Bosnia before that and a training camp in France too so it’s a really busy time for me at the moment.
