MEL Gingell isn’t afraid to give youngsters a chance at Corsham.
Young Chippenham Town full-back Ollie Webb, former Westbury United striker Tom Piotrowski and midfielder Mike Flynn all made their debuts in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Barnstaple Town, while there was a place on the bench for 15-year-old Zack Preston.
Dan Jones and Kris Beasley were on target as Corsham earned a point.
“I thought that Ollie was probably the best kiddie on the pitch and a draw was a fair result,” said Gingell.
“We had a young side and if you’re a young player and you’re good enough, then you can come and play Western League football here – I’ll be giving a few kids a chance before the end of the season.”
Aaron Ledgister and Ross Lye return for the weekend’s clash with Wellington.
