MARK Collier, the boss of Chippenham Town's Zamaretto League Premier Division rivals Swindon Supermarine, has quit the club.
Assistant boss Tom Jones is also believed to have left.
It is thought that Collier was unhappy with a proposed budget cut put to him by the fans’ consortium that runs the club at a meeting on Tuesday.
The consortium was proposing that he return to his original budget that he started the season with, after it was increased at Christmas to help in the Southern League play-off push.
Marine, beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Chippenham Town after Wednesday's Wiltshire Premier Shield semi final second leg, had earned more than £50,000 in a lucrative FA Cup run at the back end of last year.
It is understood that experienced midfielder and former Chippenham Town man Gary Horgan will take the reins for Saturday’s home game against Bashley.
