MARLBOROUGH took out their frustration at a league points deduction on Bristol rivals Firebrands A with a 5-0 demolition.

The team were hit by a league sanction of a club selection issue, but took hold of the game from the start.

After a succession of short corners Ed Gosling deflected Richard Holman’s ‘slider’ in to the net.

Skilful work from James Osbourne left the keeper helpless for Marlborough’s second, while excellent defending from Matt Way snuffed out Firebrands’ only chance of the half.

Marlborough completed opening period when Osbourne scored again.

Firebrands pushed on after the break, but with man of the match John Bromley in fine form, Anil Sud scored from a short corner for Marlborough’s fourth.

The rout was completed when Will Seawood shrugged off a strong challenge in the ‘D’ and powerfully finished into the bottom left corner.
