FOOTBALL’S a confidence game and when things aren’t going right for you, it’s difficult.

On Tuesday, we’ve conceded a poor goal and the confidence got drained out of the lads – then all of a sudden, you’re trying to kick it long, you’re trying to get in behind and hurry your passes but what we needed to do was shorten the game up.

I’m just pleased for the lads that they’ve taken on board what we’ve said at half-time and they’ve come out with a terrific attitude.

It shows what a good bunch they are – they’ve listened to what’s been said, they’ve implemented it and scored three good goals.

For the past couple of weeks, things were always going to be disjointed because the lads are feeling their way back and we’ve had to change things around.

Iain Harvey’s pulled his hamstring, Alex Kite’s got tonsillitus, Shaun Benison’s struggling with tight groins and Alan Griffin is overcoming his injury, so it’s been mix and match at the moment.

I’m just pleased for all of them at the moment.

Greg Tindle’s been a magnificent find for us; making the step up that he has and he’s improving all the time.

His mobility, his athletiscism and power in the air is there for all to see.

I’m pleased for Chris Snoddy, who’s had a difficult time away from football and shown a great attitude to come back and do really well in two tough games.

Hopefully everything’s settled down for him because your family always comes first.

It’s been a bit disjointed for Tiverton but they’ve ran a couple of the top sides close.

We know that they’ll be up for it and they’ll be fighting for their lives so we’ve got to go down there on the front foot and make sure we start the game brightly.
