Cricket: Calne made it eight wins out of eight with victory over Bath Civil Service to maintain their position at the top of the league.

Bath won the toss and decided to bat first on a very soft wicket.

Calne went through the top order of Civil Seriveand this was mainly down to Whitty and Knight who both bowled very well.

Calne eventually bowled Civil Service out for 130.

Despite losing opener Holcombe for a duck early on Calne's victory never looked in doubt, with the in form Charlie Moss sending the ball to all parts of the ground. hitting a fine 62. Despite an mini collape with twelve needed to win Calne went out and knocked the runs off with five wickets down.

Calne Captain Chris Downham commented, 'it was very important for us to play today, and at one point it looked like the game would not be completed.

We knew with the weather coming in we needed to get the runs quickly.
