CONFIDENT Tommy Dryden has tipped his resurgent Malmesbury Victoria side to rediscover their form.

They host Clanfield in the Hellenic League Division One West on Saturday and the manager is delighted he can finally select a settled team.

Vics are unbeaten in three games and Dryden is crediting it to their injury crisis alleviating.

He said: "We have got a consistent side, which is something we haven't had all season.

"We've been able to play the same team for the last couple of weeks and winning breeds confidence.

"There was never any doom and gloom but the atmosphere is getting so much better."

Dryden is now targeting an impressive run, with key players Tony Packer and Jon Wilkins fit again.

"Realistically, we just want to finish as high as possible," he said. "We are playing decent football again so we must get some points on the board."

Dryden saw his team take a break from the league on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Wiltshire Premier League outfit Bromham.

The hosts went ahead through Ed Wilkins but debutant Shaun Daniels levelled for Bromham when his crisp half volley beat Martin Woodhouse.

Vics re-took the lead in the second half when Alan Webb guided in Clint Walker's centre.

Tom Pang then spurned a golden chance to take the tie to extra time as Woodhouse saved his shot and Webb wrapped the tie up in injury time.

Bromham manager Ben Howe is now expecting his side to progress from the performance, ahead of a return to league action when they entertain Westbury United Reserves on Saturday.

"We deserved to take Malmesbury to extra time, worked really hard and made it difficult for them," he said.

"If we play like that in the league then we will be right up there.

"We know there are teams who are better than us and a little bit more serious but we work hard and learn a lot from every result."
