Bassett were rocked early on by an injury to Sammy Field. Moments later they went a goal behind in Saturday's friendly.
East Glos took control of the game in the second half and added a further two goals to their tally.
Next week Bassett play Lansdown 2nd away in another friendly game before resuming their Premier Two league campaign away to Falmouth on the October 27.
