LEE Richardson says he and his Swindon Robins teammates must grasp their chance of glory this season.
He is ready to ride in tonight's Knockout Cup semi-final first leg against Reading Racers after a badfall at Coventry on Monday.
Robins are chasing silverware on both fronts, but there is little doubt the priority lies in ending the 40-year league title drought. The 55-35 defeat at rivals Coventry has failed to dent the belief in the camp that this can be Swindon's year.
Richardson said: "I'd love to win the league and some silverware with Swindon because it has been a long time.
"This has to be our year really because I don't think we'll be able to get a team like this together again.'' Richardson was left in agony after his crash. He said: "I slid for so long on the ground it burned right through my suit and shorts and leg. But I also damaged my groin quite badly. And I twisted my pelvis too so I've taken a couple of days off.'' Richardson expects to face Coventry again. He said: "If we get through to the final, it's pretty clear we're going to meet Coventry. No one is that worried. We are strong around Swindon, although we'll have to make sure we do it up there.''
