MARLBOROUGH secured the league title and a second successive promotion with a big win over Melksham.
The platform was set with a dominant scrum, while the return of captain Jamie Pittams boosted the lineout. That allowed Jack Lynd and Jonny Mantle to make good territory and give scrum-half Moree Nailago possession.
Nailago took no time in getting the back-line going and placed clever kicks for wings George Heard and Nathan Morgan to chase. Nailago, along with Russ Westcott and centres Nick Clarke and Waisale Navundakua were all in great form and the tries came quickly.
Clarke scored a hat-trick, with Westcott adding another two. There were also tries for Nailago, Adam Whatley, Will Turner, Nathan Morgan, Jack Lynd and Paul Roberts, who touched down on his final appearance. Morgan also kicked seven conversions.
Marlborough will play in Southern Counties again next season and are keen to recruit new players.
