OLYMPIANS Shelley Rudman and Kristan Bromley both finished in 10th place in round five of the bob skeleton World Cup in Austria on Friday.

Rudman, silver medallist for Great Britain at the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games, was 10th overall in the women's race at Igls, while British team-mate Amy Williams came 19th. It means the Pewsey ace is now 14th overall in the 2006/7 World Cup series after five of the eight rounds, with Williams 17th. Great Britain are sixth overall in the women's team event.

Britain's men held on to their third place in the Nations event table with top-20 finishes by Kristan Bromley, Rudman's boyfriend who lives in Colerne, Ant Sawyer and Adam Pengilly.

Bromley put his recent injury behind him to secure 10th spot in the men's race with two consistent runs. Sawyer was 15th in the first of two runs, but produced a better second run to climb to 12th, while Pengilly finished 15th.

Pengilly remains the highest placed British slider in the overall rankings, in fifth, while Sawyer is 13th in only his first season on the World Cup circuit. Bromley is now 19th overall.

Germany's Anja Huber won the women's event in Igls, with Russia's Alexander Tretiakov taking the men's event.
