CHIPPENHAM Sunday League Division Three leaders The Southgate Inn were fuming after their Wiltshire Sunday Cup match against Greyhound was postponed.
The Devizes outfit travelled to Swindon only to be greeted by referee Andrew Fox who informed them they had had a wasted journey.
Southgate felt very aggrieved as they had received no prior notification from their hosts and this was after they had even offered to switch the tie should Greyhound's Old Town pitch be waterlogged.
It was the third time the match had been called off and they even missed out on the chance to play their Knockout Cup quarter final clash with FC Colerne which they could have done had they been told in advance that their game with the eight time winners was in doubt.
